Ms. Bakshi has recently joined Baker Newby as an associate focusing on her family law practice. Ms. Bakshi graduated from the University of Victoria with a Bachelor of Science then continued her education in England to obtain her Bachelor of Laws and a Master of Laws. Ms. Bakshi then returned to the Lower Mainland where she was called to the bar in 2018. Ms. Bakshi is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and is enrolled in the Fraser Valley Family Law, Women Lawyers Forum and Young Lawyers sections. She is also a member of the Abbotsford District Bar Association and the Collaborative Association of Lower Mainland.
Ms. Bakshi is passionate about empowering her clients while helping them navigate the post-separation process and the stress that often accompanies it. She is an accredited collaborative family lawyer and certified mediator. These facets allow her to be highly efficient in finding cost-effective solutions for her clients that are unique to their family dynamics. Ms. Bakshi is committed to guiding her clients while focusing on what is important to them in this process and approaches each situation with compassion.
Outside of practicing law, Ms. Bakshi enjoys spending time travelling with her husband and son, cooking and dancing.
